There are likely many questions you have about the Trials, but we wanted to emphasize a few important points: The health and safety of all athletes, coaches and all others involved in the Trials is of paramount concern to the event organizers.

This will play a critical role in our decision-making process. We are planning for Trials in one single venue, where athletes will vie for the Olympic Team swimming head-to-head in the heats, semifinals and finals. We are thoroughly evaluating all options related to the number of athletes at the Trials, the qualification period, whether spectators will be permitted and the safety precautions that we will have in place.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding as we move through this process. Thank you very much. Todd added that the more volunteers they had, the better, because they are almost as important as the venue.
